The Week Ahead – Jan. 15-21, 2018

THE WEEK AHEAD – Jan 15-21, 2018
Hi Indivisible GR! Below is this week’s edition of “The Week Ahead”
It’s a busy week for meetings, rallies, and other events as we regain momentum after the holidays. Check out the list below and see what’s going on.
This week marks the deadline for a continuing resolution to fund the government after January 20th. This funding bill must include protection for Dreamers and funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Please continue to let your members of Congress know that passing a DACA fix and funding CHIP are essential and their constituents are watching.
State Rep. Winnie Brinks has introduced legislation to place stricter limits on PFAS chemicals in drinking water. These are the chemicals that were discovered in drinking water in northern Kent County. Thanks to Winnie for taking action on this important issue.
We don’t have as much visibility as we’d like on upcoming activity in the state legislature so please bear with us as actions may come up with short notice.
